The team
We, as a team understand that making arrangements for a wake can be a very stressful and emotional time. When you step into our venue, you are immediately greeted by our friendly and compassionate staff. They will always go out of their way to make you feel supported and cared for.
Because every wake is unique and personal, we work closely with you to create the personalised experience that you want. Our wake venue in Guildford pays special attention to all the little details. From flowers to setting up a photo display, or playing specific songs that were meaningful to the departed. The team always go above and beyond to ensure that everything is just right for you.
The Long Room
Once you have settled on our venue, there is a choice between two rooms at The Pavilion. The room you choose will depend on the size of your wake party. Significantly, whichever the space, it will be exclusively yours for the day, giving you full privacy for your event.
Accommodating up to 160 people standing or 120 seated, The Long Room is light and airy with panoramic windows. Additionally, the room has a private balcony, a wonderfully comfy lounge area and excellent views of the cricket ground.
From a catering point of view, firstly, there is a fully equipped bar, promoting local products. Secondly, we will provide you with a choice of menus and packages to suit your budget for the event.
To enhance your event, The Long Room has a surround sound system for background music. In addition, our projector and large television screens can be used to share photographs of fond memories.
The Terrace Room
For a more intimate gathering at our wake venue in Guildford, The Terrace Room can be booked for up to 30 people. Again, this room again has large windows and panoramic views of the cricket ground. Similarly, the room offers a smart TV screen to display photographs of your loved ones.
Another feature is the adjacent 6 O’clock Roof Terrace, giving views of the City, Cathedral and the Surrey Hills. Consequently, the capacity increases to 40 people in the summer months.
Accessibility
The whole venue is fully accessible, with lift access to all floors making movement around the building easy for all your guests.
