The Long Room
The Long Room is the flagship of The Guildford Pavilion, one of the best function rooms in Guildford. The rooms ability to be transformed to suit any event is extensive, for example, for those who prefer the more hedonist style of life, a Wine and Canapé evening can easily be achieved. Our luxury sofas and furniture can be placed strategically to evoke an inviting and warm lounge area, perfect for hosting an ambient mix and mingle event. We have a wide range of excellent preferred caterers to suit all of our events, including Maggie’s Kitchen, who provides sensational and innovative food, and a wide range of incredible canapés to feed your guests. Similarly, being only a stones throw away from their warehouse, Wine&Something are able to provide an exclusive range of bespoke wines, hand picked to your requirements. Mixing these elements with mood lighting and a perfect backdrop both inside and outside the venue, you’ve got yourself a jaw-dropping event where guests can celebrate or network in style.
Networking events are easily attainable at The Guildford Pavilion. If your requirements include less wine and canapés and more daytime business conferencing, The Long Room can also be the perfect space for you. We are proud to have one of the only interactive projectors of its kind in Surrey, which allows for split screening, meaning presentations can be shown alongside a video, or even a digital whiteboard to make further notes. Furthermore, the projector has a built in camera which allows for external parties to conference call into the room, therefore your event can become hybrid for those who can’t attend in person. The light and airy space of The Long Room enables comfort for your guests who may be sitting for long periods of time, but with the beautiful green space outside, break out spaces are also plentiful and aesthetic, meaning attendees can take time out for fresh air to benefit their wellbeing. We make sure to keep your guests fed and watered, with a delicious menu of finger buffets and snacks, as well as free-flowing Tea and Coffee, Water and Juices.
The Long Room can also jump to the other end of the event spectrum by providing an ideal space for Weddings. For all parts of your special day, we have appropriate spaces. The Board Room
We are very fortunate to have The Board Room, a private and polished space on the top floor of The Guildford Pavilion. Paired with panoramic views from large windows and a spacious roof terrace, The Board Room is the ultimate space for many different events. Most notably and primarily, reflecting its name, The Board Room is fully equipped for business discussions, interviews, annual meetings and workshops. Due to its seclusive position, our guests are able to discuss matters in confidentiality, whilst also in comfort due to the modern furnishings. We make sure you are well looked after, with drinks and catering also able to be provided during your stay, to ensure you can focus on matters at hand. If you’re looking for a less traditional board room style, that’s no problem – our furniture is easily manoeuvrable to allow for a space that fits your requirements.
It can often be mistaken that the latter is as far as The Board Room functionality goes, however this is far from the truth. We often host private dinners for a more intimate crowd in The Board Room, and it works an absolute charm. For instance, picture yourself on our Roof Terrace, enjoying a glass of bubbles, taking in the views, as the sun goes down over The Guildford Cathedral. Then when the time is right, migrating indoors to enjoy a delicious full-course dinner, provided by the excellent Caper and Berry. This intimate setting with large tables and windows presents an enjoyable experience without distractions.
